GOOD FRIDAY – Solemn Liturgy at 3.00pm

At 8.00am:  Solemn chanting of Morning and Midday Prayer by the Collegiate chapter and the congregation.

At 3.00pm:  Solemn Liturgy of the Passion and Death of Our Lord, led by archpriest Mgr Joseph Curmi, assisted by the Collegiate chapter and clergy.  The liturgy of this day includes the Adoration of the Cross, the reading of St John’s Gospel and the celebration of the Eucharist.

At 5.30pm: Start of the ancient (pre-1788), devout and penitential Procession of the Passion, with the miraculous Crucifix carved in wood by Pietru Pawl Azzopardi (1848).
