San Giorgio al Velabro Titular Cardinal to be declared a saint

One of the titular cardinals of the Roman San Giorgio al Velabro Basilica in the very heart of the imperial city of Rome is to be declared a saint.

It has just announced the appointment of Fr Simon Mario Cachia as the eleventh Parish Priest of Fontana.

Now that another patronal feast will slowly become part of our beautiful memories, our words are of thanksgiving…

We are now in the Festive Solemnity of St George, Gozo's Heavenly Protector. So… a Happy Feast to all!

The Holy Triduum for this year, aptly delivered by Fr Anthony Bajada, came to an end earlier today.

When the statue of St George was brought out of its niche last Tuesday, it did not leave an empty ‘home’ behind.

During these three days of the Triduum, there is no better place to be than on a chair at St George’s Basilica from 6.30pm onwards.
