Today, the 23rd April, the Liturgical Calendar of the Diocese of Gozo celebrates today the Feast of St George, Patron Saint of Gozo.
The Vigil of the Martyrdom of St George was held yesterday at 8.00pm in St George’s Basilica. The Laudate Pueri Choir sang psalms and parts of the Litany to St George. Archpriest Mgr Joseph Curmi presided.
Today’s events
At 8.30am – Solemn Singing of praise to the Morning.
At 6.15pm – Sung Second Solemn Vespers.
At 7.00pm – HL Mgr Anton Teuma, Bishop of Gozo, will preside a Pontifical High Mass.
At 8.30pm – Demonstration with the statue of Saint George, the Patron Saint of Gozo, accompanied by the La Stella Band from Pjazza San Ġorġ to Republic Street.
