We have reached the stage when we have to commission the paving of the Adoration Chapel. Since last year the price has increased by thousands of euro over the initial estimate.
St George’s Basilica would like to urge you all to be part of this huge and wonderful project aimed at increasing adoration in our Parish. We still have to find about €25,000. In order not to interrupt the ongoing works in the chapel, the paving must be ordered before Christmas and so we are launching this special appeal.
Become a co-benefactor of part of this marvelous paving, which will be handcrafted by a Ravenna firm (an Italian city known for its mosaics).
On Sunday 27th November from 8am to 12 noon artists Alex and Anca who are laying the mosaic in the neo Byzantine chapel will demonstrate their work in Pjazza San Ġorġ to enable you to observe closely this marvellously unique craft that will embellish the chapel.
