Nine weeks prior to the feast of St George as Patron and Protector of the Gozitans; the parish community starts to mark Thursday as a special day of devotion to St George. The Thursdays that will now come our way, starting today until early July, are known amongst us as il-Ħamisijiet ta’ San Ġorġ.
In the evening, at 7.00pm, the archpriest Mgr Joseph Curmi, shall lead a sung concelebrated Mass with the participation of the collegiate chapter whereby the Thursdays are inaugurated. Mass will be followed by adoration of the Eucharist and sacramental benediction.
The Thursdays’ Holy Mass will as usual will be streamed live and broadcasted live by community radio Leħen il-Belt Victoria.
