This year the blessing of families in our Parish will be conducted during this month and the month of February. The Archpriest Mgr Joseph Curmi will be starting on Tuesday, 13th January and continue till Friday the 14th February 2020. The timings of the blessing are in the morning between 9.30am till 12.30pm, and in the afternoon between 3.30pm and 7.00pm. As far as possible the blessings will be conducted by the Mgr Curmi, so at least once a year he meets all the community.
It is proper that the entire family should attend the blessing, and all should gather, including any children to recite a prayer. After the blessing, the sacristan and the altarboy will leave the residence so that a private conversation would be possible whenever it is desired.
As from this year, donations given to the Archpriest during the family blessing will go towards his annual salary. If the donations received, exceed or fall short of the required figure, the surplus or deficit will be passed to the Parish.
