Today we celebrate Pentecost Sunday. We pray for the Church on her birthday, that it may never cease to draw the energy for its mission from the Holy Spirit, her Giver of life.
On this most great Solemnity we also invoke the Holy Spirit on Brother Etienne Gilson ofmconv, who later today will be conferred with the Ministry of Lector – that is, the proclamation of God’s saving Word at the Sacred Liturgy – during a Solemn Mass held at St Francis Church, starting at 5.00pm, and presided by Rev. Ġorġ Zammit ofmconv, Minister Provincial.
