The painting by Francesco Zahra depicting the Martyrdom of St George has just returned to the Basilica. Restoration on both the painting and cornice were entrusted to Atelier del Restauro. The painting will, for now, be covered (thus, the blurred photo) until both paintings are restored.
Works at the Basilica is ongoing right now to take the second painting to Atelier’s studio.
