Most of us are happy but none of us are surprised that Dun Gorg Preca ended up being declared SAN GORG PRECA. He was a holy man and the good thing is that his holiness is also seen in many of the members of his Society. He belongs to them and also to all of us. San Gorg Preca is another local ambassador in Heaven and we ask him to pray for our islands and to bring love and peace between us all.

Once again,last Saturday I had the opportunity to go to Toronto for the feast of St.George.Over 500 people attended the festive occasion.As usual the Malta Band of Toronto played festive marches,and for us Gorgjani from Rabat,the highlight of the evening was of course,l-Innu Marc,and we sang it to our hearts content! Thanks to the La stella society who made it possible,thanks also to the organizers of Festa San Gorg,the Malta Band,and the people of Hal Qormi,once again it was a great success.We look forward for next year,when we get to see the new statue,and maybe La Stella band once again? that would be great.Thanks to all again that make this yearly feast possible.Viva San Gorg!!

Congratulations to my brother Fr Geroge R. Brincat for celebrating his 50th priesthood anniversary. I went to visit George in Los Angeles (last week). He celebrated this milestone at his parish church in Los Angeles.
I understand that George will also be celebrating a mass in Gozo sometime around July 1st and/or the 8th 2007. I also plan to visit him in Gozo, and enjoy this his celebration, and St. George (havent' seen this festa for almost 42 years). On behalf of my sisters (Maria, & Antoniette), brother in-law, niece and many many friends CONGRATULATIONS, and may God bless you. You are truly an insparation to a lot of people. Regards, Joe C.
